Most visitors use a car to get to the splash! Festival. If this is your chosen means of transport, here are some important hints for your safe arrival and departure.
Please take these pieces of advice to heart because there are still many splash! Festivals waiting for you. So, pick up your friends and get on the way. Travelling as a team is more enjoyable and environmental friendly. Most important:
The Gremminer lake and Ferropolis can be reached via Autobahn A9, exit Dessau Ost, then onto the B 185 to Oranienbaum and then in Oranienbaum turn right onto the B 107 to Gräfenhainichen, after turn left to FERROPOLIS in-between Jüdenberg and Gräfenhainichen.
Please use the specially designated parking places when arriving with trailers and campers. Unfortunately, due to technical problems, there will be no water and power supply. Reservation is not required.
Use only the designated places for parking. (Illegal and wild parkers will be penalized by the police.)
Follow the instructions of the regulating staff at the parking lots
The parking places open on Thursday 12 p.m.
The parking places have to be empty by Monday 12 p.m.
Don't drink and drive!
The airport Leipzig/Halle is the nearest airport. It is located about 70 km away from Ferropolis. From the airport you chose to take the train or car to Ferropolis. The airport Leipzig/Halle is used by some low-budget airlines and has direct connections to the following German cities:
One of the most popular means of transport to the splash! Festival is and has been the railroad. The greatest advantage certainly is arriving well rested and avoiding traffic jams. Especially using the group discounts of the “Deutsche Bahn” is a lot cheaper than any other means of transport. Your train station is Graefenhainichen. From there you can use the shuttle busses to the festival area.
We will announce the timetable of the shuttle busses in time.
Of course there will be taxis ready to transport you safely and comfortably to the festival area. Obviously it is less expensive to share a taxi with other people.
