... now is the best time to make some warm thoughts. For example about what's going on next summer: From 6th to 8th July things go round again in Ferropolis. And after a sunny, peaceful and in every respect successful splash! 2011, we are already working at full speed to make our 15th anniversary a memorable hip hop moment for all involved again. Our attention remains devoted again to bundle the diversity of hip-hop culture at a festival, bringing together old and new, big names and insider tips, little niches and large Movements under one roof – in short, we would like to bring hip hop in all its diversity to Ferropolis. And we're already looking forward to celebrate with you, to drink and to forget the stupid jokes about the weather once and for all - and of course to the following Artists:
Wiz Khalifa
This skinny young man from Pittsburgh knows the score. How to roll a blunt publicly and effectively, how to still find a bare patch of skin for a new tattoo somewhere – and how to become the most popular weed-rapper of the western world in record time: for example to score a # 1 hit like "Black and Yellow ", rapping alongside Snoop Dogg about smoking dope, rapping even cooler at the side of Curren$sy about smoking dope and being just the coolest toker in general. Pretty dope matter anyway that we are getting on the main stage.
Kool Savas & Friends
Local rap fans agree that Savas is the number 1 over here. Now, after one decade of his career, he finally cracked the German album charts – thanks to his "aura". After the short-term splash! abstinence now Essahs' triumphant return to the main stage follow in 2012 - and he has announced that he will bring one or the other special guest. Whomever Savas may bring along: This will be a demolition at its finest in any case.
Mac Miller
Perhaps Wiz Khalifa still has a free ride: Swag prodigy Mac Miller will also travel from Pittsburgh to Ferropolis, bringing with plenty of good humor, his new album "Blue Slide Park" and a live show, which is quite something. Anyone who was at one of the sold-out gigs last year in Germany will be able to confirm this.
Marsimoto
Do you remember the green smoke that covers Ferropolis during the show of Marteria last year? That was the idea of Marsimoto. And because it was so nice, the stoned twin of Marteria will get the opportunity again this year to make more of such entertaining jokes - with a green mask, helium voice and "Grünem Samt" in the baggage. And who knows maybe even more green smoke.
Taktlo$$
What is my label doing? Who does not know the answer to this question should come to the splash! this year. And who knows, even more. Anyway, it well could be that Taktlo$$ will ask this question in Ferropolis again. Maybe a little more often. Possibly much more often. Just as long as it is needed. Until everyone knows the answer to the question of questions. To maybe answer it a bit more often then. Possibly much more. So, what is my label doing?
Cro
Who is not immediately affected by this incredibly catchy tune called "Easy" when he reads the name Cro, has done something wrong at the end of 2011. Invoice for the Internet not paid, coma, exchange semester in North Korea, something like that. If the young man with the outstanding talent, the triangles and the panda face can still hear the song - whatever. We want to hear "Easy" in Ferropolis. In bright sunshine. It will work for sure. Easy.
Ahzumjot
Whether his dog Monty is allowed to come to the splash!? No. Animals are not allowed at the festival. Whether his album "Monty" is allowed at the splash!? But hey, quite absolutely. After all, the CD with the pink square on the cover is one of the most interesting albums of 2011 and Ahzumjot is quite rightly one of the great hopes for the future of German rap. And of course we offer someone like him the opportunity to convince a large festival audience.
Murkage
Stylistically confident and handling with it as if there were no rules: this is the kind of urban music from Great Britain we like. The guys from Murkage are doing exactly that and do not only hit the taste nerves of well-informed music nerds with distinct affinity for genre descriptions. But also of those people who just want to freak out and don’t care whether you call it grime, dubstep or hip hop now. One way or the other you will definitely be highly entertained by Murkage in Ferropolis.
And by the way, the whole thing will be hosted this year by the Munich MC and DJ Roger Rekless who has already collected a lot of experience in this job – and besides all he is a pretty decent stage hog.

See you in Ferropolis!
